About the Chef
David Garnett II, CEO, Founder, and Head Chef of Breakdown Cooking has a passion to serve. He has worked at 5 different restaurants, including Hersh’s - the best Italian food in Baltimore. As a hospitality student of University of District of Colombia 2014’ he has learned to merge the practices of exceptional service with his decade long experience in cooking.
“As a child, I was always the first person to wake up. So, I started making breakfast for myself. By the time I was in high school I was making dinner for my family, handling the grill at family cookouts, and casually cooking for friends.”
As a Running Back for his local football team, David exemplifies integrity and teamwork. These are principles he brings into the kitchen to ensure every plate, every bite, and every morsel is full of love and flavor. He believes in giving full attention to the wants and needs of his customers while delivering an experience.
